I saw this movie, The Blind Side, this morning with my family. This was such a great movie. It is a true story about a boy named Michael Oher who lived in the ghetto in Memphis, TN and was taken in by a rich Memphis family. The father was Sean Tuohy, a former Ole Miss Basketball star. The family took him in and acted as if he were their own. They paid for his private high school education and soon he became a huge football star. Michael then went to play for Ole Miss and graduated last year. He is now on the Baltimore Ravens. This story is truly touching; It is a true story and just shows you how great people can become if they are given a chance. Sandra Bullock is great in this movie. I defiantly think this is a MUST SEE movie. It not only has a loving and touching aspect but it has a lot of football background. This movie would be great for anyone!

I haven’t seen this movie yet, but by your blog,it seems like the perfect movie for my boyfriend and I. If I had to go off just by this picture,I would have to guess that the photographer wanted to show that even this big guy needs a touching hand . Sandra Bullock looks like an angle with her blond hair glowing in the sunlight. You would think obviously this movie is about football, but why would they have a woman in the picture? That’s what makes this picture really interesting. And just by the commercials, I already know if I go see this movie, ill probably cry!

Keeping up with the Kardashians, one of my favorite tv shows. It features this family and how they cope through everything in life. But I think you can sum up everything and pretty much everybody through this picture. For instance, just looking at how everyone is dressed, you can tell this isn’t a normal family. Everyone, except the father/stepfather, is all glits and glam. Even the little girls are wearing sparkly tops. Not to mention, its day time and they are all wearing cocktail attire. The whole family looks out of place in front of the nice beautiful big family home, and i think that is exactly what the photographer wanted. He wanted the family to stand out because that is exactly how they are in everyday life. I really do love this family, I think they are real with each other, something that is really hard for families. Although they say and do things I sometimes don’t agree with , I still think they are fantastic!

Dallas Cowboys. They are way more than just a team in American Football. They symbolise what, or should I say who use to be in the west. But what boggles me the most about this team is its symbol. If you would to go up to pretty much anyone in this country and show them this picture, they would know who it was. But to foreigners this just looks like an ordinary star. Their symbol on a brand would help it to sell millions, it has that big of an impact on today’s culture. People have this on their cars, shirts, shoes pants, hoodies, and even on signs in their front yard. Together they are another subculture, planning their sunday or monday nights around its game time. But if they are called the Cowboys, why is the symbol of a star? I think its a classic view of how original cowboys would roam the range and sleep outside under the stars, or maybe its a turn on words with the song ‘Deep in the Heart of Texas’; who knows? One thing is for sure, this image has a huge impact on society and culture today.
Wow, there are not enough words to describe the sorrow I have for the people involved in this shooting. To think that this happened in Texas is scary and for it to have been by a doctor adds to it even more. A mental Health doctor went on a rampage and started shooting people out of nowhere. It is an awful situation, leaving 12 dead and 31 wounded. I cannot believe that this actually happened. I know people going to Fort Hood soon so I am praying for them and I hope that all goes well. They are in my thoughts and so are the people involved in this horrific situation.

Everyone heard about what happened in Fort Hood, Texas because of that Psychiatrist that went nuts. I can’t blame him though, he had to deal with other people’s problems along with his own problems. It was still no reason to have done what he did. He murdered and wounded his fellow soldiers, the people who he’s supposed to be defending. He betrayed his soldiers along with the country who he was to defend. I just feel bad for all the people he wounded and for the families of the people he killed. I know they’re all in a tough time.

I was passing by the TV lounge in Kerr when this story caught my eye. I couldn’t believe that one of the safest places in our country had just gone through this tragedy. It said that he was about to deploy for Iraq when he just snapped, and all I could think of was maybe he had been before and knew what tragedy he would face. Maybe he had gotten psychiatric help and they denied him, but then i read this; he was the psychiatric doctor. However, officials are saying that he might be tied to terrorist attacks and this was all planned. I dont know who to believe, should we judge him based upon his religious beliefs? Personaly I will withhold my judgment untill a FULL investigation is made. I feel exactly the same as the original blogger about this story and my heart goes out to all the family and friends who either lost someone in this struggle or was hurt.
I about DIED laughing when i first saw this! The dad videotaping this video was trying to catch a funny moment that his song had as a child. Its just hilarious what little kids do and say. I think the funniest ages are when kids are toddlers, they say exactly whats on their mind. This poor kid was being so sincere about his concern for his brother and to have his dad just laugh at him made him so frustrated, I think I would have reacted in the same way!
My boyfriend told me about a group of guys called Mega64, and how they make fun of video games. He told me that I had to look them up and he promises that I wouldn’t regret it. Well I did and I surely was cracking up. Well I came across this video, Mega64 Frogger, and I was amazed at the dedication these guys had; they literately portrayed the game perfectly. The object of the game is to cross the street without getting ran over while being a frog. I came up with the following reasons why they seem to be doing this: 1. They’re bored, 2. They love video games, or 3. They wanted to take their video game experience to the next level, meaning bring it to life. Whatever their true reason or reasons may be, it’s funny, entertaining, dangerous (sometimes), and original; these guys have guts to be doing this. If you’re a gamer, you should definitely check out their other videos!
This is possibly the funniest thing I’ve ever seen, I actually had to go and watch a couple of their videos! Its funny how when ever they portray someone in combat how everyone gets upset or angry around them, yet they let their children play these games all the time. Even though that probably wasn’t their purpose, you could gather from all their movies this exact topic. I will have to applaud them for sticking to their characters to the fullest and actually going out in public and doing this, I don’t think I have the courage to do this at all!
I loved this video when I first saw it, and I agree that this is a wonderful way to celebrate the love between two people. What makes me sad about seeing this post is that after this video came out Fox 4 News went around and asked some of the local churches, all different religions, if they would allow this to happen in their church. Some priests would quickly answer yes that they too agreed a wedding was a celebration of love. But some priests quickly answered no. They said that a wedding was supposed to be a quiet moment between two people. That those people should reflect upon their love and should be thanking God for bringing them together. I personally believe that blaring Chris Brown and having your wedding party dance down the aisle is a pretty cool ( and loud and effective) way of thanking God for bringing two people together.
I agree with kristas-09 that this video is a lot of fun. I like how they managed to keep a certain feeling of spontaneity despite its obvious pre-plannededness. Anymore, people spend so much money on their weddings, it really should be a celebration that is special to the couple. Here, they’ve managed to take the old tradition of “walking down” the aisle and make it their own. Instead of going through the motions of a tradition they had no part in making, they found a way to be truly original. Also, I really like that the couple approaches the “altar” together. There’s a very nice sentiment to the idea of going into this whole married thing together (instead of one person being “given away” to another).
This video is so hilarious! It would be so much fun to get married like that. I bet they had a ton of fun and the families watching really looked like they enjoyed it. They were all clapping along and having a great time. I like that they decided to do that for their entrance. It is very unique and fun. It is not traditional and that makes it even more exciting. I think that this is what the couple wanted to do to stick out and really have a good time getting married. it was a very cute idea and I loved it. Maybe one day I will get married like that.
I saw this when it came on the news, and fell in love with it. Even though it was all planned out, you can tell the purpose of this was show the love the family and friends have just for this couple to get married. This just shows the couple are obviously fun people and just wanted to celebrate, thats right CELEBRATE the best day of their lives. Most people forget thats what a wedding is for and get caught up in the drama like the show Bridezilla, or however you spell it.

My Teacher use to say this to our orchestra or band when I was in high school. What he was trying to say was that only if you try your hardest then you will have a good outcome; but if you practice only halfway, when you know you can try harder, it will only lead to unsuccessfulness. Although he use to say it over and over, and after four years of hearing it, this quote did get kinda annoying, I still keep it with me today and often think about it no matter what I’m doing. Even if your just doing homework, if you do a crappy job at it, your test results in the end will be just as bad. Makes total sense doesn’t it?
A little boy asked his mother, “Why are you crying?” “Because I’m a woman,” she told him.

I think this story can touch many people both men and women. I think this story is interesting because the reason why women act like the way they do is because of god. God created women the way that it is explained in this story in my opinion. This is a great inspiration for men to understand all the hard work that women have to go through. I think the point of the story came across of how the writer wanted it to come through. As a young lady, I can see what the world will have in store for me in the future.
My Grandma read this to me when I was little as well. Although I didnt understand all of it at the time, it all makes a lot of sence now! I think the writter wanted to show how strong women are and prove that they dont need to act tough becuase they were made that way. Also, I think the writter wanted to send a message to women that they have a purpose in life no matter what direction you take. It is very possitive and uplifting, im glad you posted it!

This is a picture of Baltimore city and its reflection. I think the artist who took this picture was trying to exemplify how grand the city is. But also, i think this picture shows more than just a city’s reflection. As you can see, the reflection is kind of blurry from waves and current in the water, it makes it seem like you cant really see the details of the buildings. I think it shows how we view cities, yes we can see the big sky scrappers and flashing lights, but do we really know the city? Do we know every person in that city and what they do? People make up cities, not just buildings, and sometimes we forget that.
